Service Line Overview

Internal communications sits under KPMG China People, Performance and Culture Function and its mandate is to promote two-way communications and drive people engagement by keeping our colleagues informed of the latest developments at KPMG, so that they understand the firm's business strategy to achieve the Trust and Growth ambition. We do so through a variety of interactive channels and platforms of communications, so every colleague's voice can be heard and everyone can contribute.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work with the team leaders to support in the delivery of the firm's internal communication strategy across Hong Kong and other China regions. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing both strategic and tactical internal communications advice and support. This role would suit a highly proactive individual with excellent interpersonal, influencing and project management skills.
  • Work closely with team leaders to roll out firmwide projects and project manage strategic initiatives from start to finish, often working across functions with multiple teams to deliver impact.
  • Support firm's leadership to ensure their business objectives, values and strategy are professionally and consistently communicated.
  • Develop communications plan and draft engaging and impactful contents tailored to different communications channels and audiences, including but not limited to regional newsletter, leadership communications, business updates, people related news and initiatives, video storyboarding, script writing, etc.
  • Manage and coordinate video/visual internal communications platforms; identify and repurpose contents for video platform use; use metrics to measure and analyze impact
  • Possess strong business sense and ability to identify key client wins, thought-leadership and business initiatives that create a sense of pride and engage employees.
  • Proactively identify story leads and recommend dynamic ways to bring stories to life to engage with our employees.
  • Desire or on the journey to become a strategic and creative thinker who is passionate about story-telling, and can build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels and across cultures and diversities.
  • Openness to wide variety of projects big and small.
Experience & Background
  • Undergraduate degree or above in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related discipline
  • Minimum 6+ years of working experience (for Manager candidate) in corporate communications/content development/PR with both international and China experience preferred
  • Strong business acumen with good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
  • Experience in change management communications is a plus but not mandatory
  • A committed team player with the ability to collaborate with people across the teams and diversities, work under pressure and tight timelines
  • Be proactive, agile, resilient, and is willing to keep an open-mind to learn and challenge how things are done in order to improve them
  • Always keep an open-mind, can-do spirit and empathy; and the ability to build credibility
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are a must. Ability to communicate in Mandarin is essential
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Manager
