We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a
Manager, Client Services. Principal Responsibilities The Client servicing colleague within the team will be dedicated to supporting and assisting in the delivery of best in class, client service and areas of sales support. This individual will provide the following key functions:
- Provision of client services for primarily institutional clients of AMHK, specifically and primarily for Korea clients, with secondary coverage of other North Asia clients
- Maintain and support the overall client experience through appropriate client service and selective sales support activities
- Support and work with Sales, Client Managers, RFP, Investments, and other stakeholders to assist in the delivery of goals and objectives as agreed with the business to provide seamless client experience with HSBC GAM
- Client Service team may also support the pension and retirement business on the client service activities
- Ownership of client onboarding process, ensuring that onboard activities, IMA negotiations, KYC/AML, and others are completed in a timely manner
- May be required support sales team through management of selected client relationships
- Will directly service & engage with Korea clients, in particular, with occasional client meetings either in office, on-site, or virtually
- Primary coverage for Korea Institutional business, working closely with Sales and relevant Investment Team colleagues
- Handle ad-hoc client enquiries for existing and prospective clients
- Close cooperation with Client Managers/ Institutional Sales, as required in the completion of client (prospects and/or existing) related requests and enquiries
- Assist and support the team to ensure the successful launch of new product offerings / capabilities, as appropriate based on coverage
- Assist in the preparation and development of ad hoc reports, working with Marketing, Product teams and Investment teams to develop ad-hoc reports and ensure delivery to appropriate clients
- Own and drive the on-boarding process to ensure new clients a smooth and seamless mandate take on and funning process
- Customise client reports/presentations, translate market commentaries and devise report templates where required
- Support sales initiatives, especially in assessing servicing challenges and/or defining the viability of IMA terms and guidelines
- Communicate fund and market information to external clients e.g. distribute corporate actions and upload market commentary
- May be required to manage selected client relationships
Requirements
- Client facing experience is advantageous; must be comfortable engaging with clients on any variety of issues
- Good interpersonal skills, both spoken and written
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- Past experience in client support role within an asset management business
- Ability to/or has some understanding/awareness of investment products/capabilities
- Strong interest in financial markets
- Clear evidence/understanding of industry/market or client requirements
- Evidence of ability to prioritize tasks when faced with competing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and deadlines
- Baseline investment knowledge and/or 2 years minimum in investment management business/capability based role
- Flexible, resourceful and ability to multi task
- IT and business systems knowledge/familiarity (excel, word, Bloomberg, Morningstar etc)
- Korea language skills is a must-have as primary coverage will be Korea clients
