Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join a leading retail bank as the Deputy Head of Operations. In this key role, you will oversee various operational functions and play a crucial part in driving efficiency, risk management, and customer satisfaction across the organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the functions of General Administration Services, Banking Operations, Investment & Treasury Operations, and Process Management.
- Ensure that all operational functions, including General Banking Operations, Customer Services, and Channel Operation Support, are cost-effective and efficiently meet customer needs.
- Collaborate with business units to act as a strategic partner, providing support for business generation and growth initiatives.
- Develop and implement the overall operational strategy for the Operations Group, aligning with organizational objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Formulate, review, and execute operational policies and guidelines to enhance service delivery.
- Plan and drive bank-wide automation and cost-reduction projects, as well as quality and risk management initiatives.
- Lead re-engineering projects and support the implementation of new products and services.
- Review and streamline operational procedures and workflows to optimize efficiency and reduce operational risks.
- Focus on upskilling and reskilling personnel within the Operations Group to enhance team capability.
- Prepare and manage the annual budget, ensuring that operational expenses remain within approved limits.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in banking or reputable financial institutions, with at least 10 years in management roles.
- Strong knowledge and experience in banking operations, administration, compliance, and system management.
- Proven track record in managing technical personnel involved in application system development and operations.
- Extensive experience in project management, people management, and facilities management within the banking sector.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate strong leadership.
