Responsibilities:
- Operate under the guidance and oversight of the Board of Directors.
- Manage daily operations of the Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) in compliance with VARA regulations and applicable laws.
- Align operational activities with the strategic objectives and policies set by the Board.
- Provide necessary information to the Board for performance assessment and oversight.
- Deliver regular reports to the Board detailing operational progress, challenges faced, and strategic initiatives for growth.
- Develop local business plans that align with management to articulate a clear vision for short, medium, and long-term business development.
- Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and achieving profitability targets.
- Cultivate a positive company culture and mentor leadership teams to enhance their effectiveness as business partners.
- Coordinate all operational functions through management to ensure smooth facility operations.
- Serve as the primary representative of the company in the region, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and engaging with local organizations.
- Liaise with regulators and ensure timely notifications as required.
- Promote employee engagement through a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and recognition.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Group CEO.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years of operational management experience in the financial services sector; experience in the fintech or blockchain industry is preferred.
- In-depth understanding of financial practices, particularly in relation to Virtual Assets and VARA regulations.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and optimizing profitability.
- High commercial awareness and strategic thinking, with a proven ability to set and achieve high operational standards.
- Interest in blockchain and digital assets, with a readiness to work in a collaborative startup environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, well-organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in English (Mandarin proficiency is a plus).
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and analytical skills.
