Our client is a prestigious global Hedge Fund. This powerhouse is currently seeking a motivated and detail oriented Compliance Officer, APAC to join their collaborative and dynamic team.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the APAC and broader regional teams in executing a global compliance program.
- You will serve as an advisor on a variety of compliance matters, primarily in the areas of Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities, and FX by collaborating closely with management and business units to understand complex regulations concerning the firms trading activities
- Develop and maintain compliance strategies and implement effective programs that align with these strategies.
- Keep abreast of regulatory mandates and notify the management team of any changes.
- Ensure the firm adheres to all external regulatory and legal standards as well as internal policies.
- Complete tasks outlined in the Compliance Monitoring Plan (CMP) promptly, including raising any discrepancies or issues to the senior management
- Prepare management information (MI) for monthly governance meetings.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, including setting up compliance systems and organizing induction training.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven 5+ years working experience in the Compliance Sector, i.e. compliance advisory, regulatory compliance, etc.
- Background in asset management/ hedge funds/ financial services sector.
- Must have experience and sound knowledge in Equities, other asset classes are a bonus.
- Good attitude, strong attention to detail, a self-starter and able to work under pressure whilst managing multiple priorities and tasks
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
