This prominent global bank employs over 500 staff at its Hong Kong branch and has a distinguished legacy of more than 100 years serving the Asia-Pacific region. The bank is currently looking for a Vice President to join its Treasury Operations Department, which comprises a team of around 20 professionals. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and guide junior teammates in executing treasury operations, including money market transactions, foreign exchange, securities, bonds, and FRCD issuance.
- Assess settlement risks and address any irregular transactions in accordance with the Bank's policies and standards.
- Generate and compile reports for management, Head Office, and regulatory authorities.
- Review and enhance the policy and procedure manual to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with various branches, departments, and both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate transaction settlements.
- Manage additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in treasury operations, including 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong understanding of treasury products, market practices, and securities clearing systems relevant to treasury market product settlements (e.g., SWIFT, CHATS, CMU).
- Familiarity with banking operations, global settlement practices, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills; a strong team player.
- Proficient in both English and Chinese.
- Competent in MS Office; knowledge of VBA, MS Excel Macros, and Alteryx is a plus.
