My client, a quantitative technology firm operating in an exciting niche market is looking for a Senior Python Developer (Backend) for their evolving data-intensive systems This can be a hybrid or remote position with intermittent trips to Hong Kong. Talents from all over the world are welcome

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, guide, and manage a small team of developers while acting as the PM
  • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders in modularizing requirements
  • Regularly communicating with the research team for alignment of development efforts
  • Perform rigorous code reviews with strict code quality and adherence to the best practices
  • Write clean and maintainable code

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Senior Developer with a project planning mindset who has been exposed to full SDLC processes
  • Excellent communicator in English
  • Self-starter, independent, and proactive individual able to thrive in a dynamic startup environment
  • At least 3 years of backend development experience in Python (OOP paradigm), utilizing APIs, data processing libraries and DBMS
  • A solid foundation in software architecture, design patterns, and writing clean code
