Our client, a global hedge fund, is actively seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join their team in Hong Kong.

The role:

  • Provide global end-user and desktop support across all offices, including remote and executive leadership support, in a dynamic environment.
  • Offer support for Office 365 applications and Windows 10 operating system.
  • Manage Microsoft Active Directory and Office 365 Exchange Online.
  • Administer Citrix Cloud/Microsoft Azure VDA/VDI platform and provide related support.
  • Manage and support HP Workstation, HP Thin Client, and Lenovo laptop devices.
  • Administer Cisco VoIP phones, Cisco Unified CM, and Cisco Unity Connection.
  • Support mobile devices (iOS, Android) managed through MDM platform (MobileIron).
  • Assist in maintaining video conferencing systems (Zoom, Neat, Poly).
  • Provide support for Market Data Applications such as Bloomberg Anywhere/Terminal.
  • Conduct basic network troubleshooting including DNS, DHCP, Network slowdowns, remote VPN/VDI connectivity issues, etc.
  • Ensure timely logging and monitoring of service tickets for swift issue resolution and documentation using JIRA Service Desk.
  • Assist with office moves and build-outs.
  • Manage device inventory and asset tracking.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes.

  • Knowledge of PowerShell, scripting, automation, and packaging (Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager) is advantageous.
