About the Role As a Manager Business Governance and Control, in our Institutional Business Governance and Control team, you will be responsible for the day to day execution of business governance and control activities across Hong Kong Branch. This includes implementation of IAM Amplified in Hong Kong, delivering of regional initiatives, operational risk identification, control environment monitoring, event management, governance forums reporting, operational risk assessment for projects/ initiatives, audit gap analysis, and stakeholder management

Role Type: 8 month Fixed-term contract, Full-time
What will your day look like? As a Manager, Business Governance and Control, you will:
- Engage with key business partners/senior management and support the Heads, BG&C with risk and control related matters
- Provide risk and control subject matter expertise (SME) advisory services in the context of day-to-day business activities and on specific project/ change initiatives
- Help implement IAM Amplified initiative in HK
- Drive regional initiatives' implementation and ensure HK adheres to all the deliverables' delivery timelines.
- Support the branch in identifying and managing operational and compliance risks through incident management, governance establishment, control testing and tail management
- Work collaboratively with the business, operations and enablement functions to develop risk mitigation and event remediation strategies
- Maintain oversight of control environment and other risk assessment initiatives to help the bank identify key risk to minimize non-lending loss
- Support process simplification, new projects/ initiatives roll out, changes in processes and exceptions with proper risk assessments
- Support Business Continuity Management tasks if and when required
- Educate colleagues on risk-related topics through delivering training

- Having a mindset of curiosity and being proactive to understand industry and business specific nuances in an institutional bank environment

- Ability to manage competing priorities and conflicting issues in a professional manner
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
