Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to drive the growth of the SME portfolio in alignment with the bank's overall objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of SME relationship managers, credit analysts, and support staff to ensure effective service delivery to SME clients.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with SME clients, understanding their financial needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Risk Management: Evaluate credit risk associated with SME lending activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Product Development: Identify opportunities for new products and services that cater to the specific needs of SME clients, working closely with product development teams.
  • Market Research: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for business growth and innovation.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators related to the SME portfolio, preparing regular reports for senior management.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments within the bank, such as retail banking, corporate banking, and risk management, to ensure a seamless experience for SME clients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  •  years of experience in SME banking or commercial banking, with a proven track record of managing and growing a portfolio of SME clients.
  • Strong understanding of financial products and services relevant to SMEs, including lending, trade finance, and cash management.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Sound knowledge of credit risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and banking industry best practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and market information to drive business decisions.
