Responsibilities
(A) Counter Transaction Handling
  • Handle over-the-counter banking transactions, incl. cash, cheque & foreign exchange deposits and withdrawals in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Provide counter services to customers.
  • Process account opening and current & savings related procedures.
  • Maintain documentation, customer records, correspondence and filing in good order.
(B) Promotion of Bank Products/Services
  • Identify & refer potential customers of regulated products to sales staff when handling counter transactions, and if appropriate, cross sell non-regulated general banking products to customers.
(C) Customer Experience Management
  • Provide superior service to customers in accordance with the Bank's required service standards and models.
  • Process and follow through customer enquiries, requests and transactions to ensure customer satisfaction.
(D) Audit and Compliance Control
  • Adhere to bank's policies, standards, operations guidelines / procedures, security and internal control measures.
  • Comply with the compliance and regulatory requirements and code of conduct, particularly those applicable to the course of selling, i.e. sales staff's licensing and fitness & properness, KYC, IPQ, anti-money laundering & documentation completeness in a/c opening & in each deal.
  • Comply with the registered capacity as well as any conditions imposed by the HKMA. This includes compliance with the applicable requirements of the Code of Conduct for Persons Licensed by or Registered with the SFC.
Requirements
  • Degree holder is preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of teller experience in banking operations or customer service area in Consumer Banking
  • Good understanding of branch operations, banking products and services is an advantage
  • Customer-focused and a good team player
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Fluency in Mandarin & English are required
  • HKIB Certified Banker preferred
  • Fulfillment of requirements under the Enhanced Competency Framework preferred
