Client Onboarding Associate - Top Fund Services

My client, a top fund services, is currently looking for a Client Onboarding candidate to join their expanding team.

Salary: Negotiable between 40-60k per month, less experienced candidates could be considered a junior level

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Oversee, plan, and monitor the onboarding and integration process for new Fund Services clients at CFSAL, including newly established hedge funds and private equity, as well as transferring funds from previous fund administrators or investment managers.

  • Manage the client acceptance process in collaboration with clients and internal departments to ensure all onboarding procedures are supported by the necessary documentation, thoroughly reviewed, and approved.

  • Coordinate account openings and review and negotiate fund offering documents.

  • Track all onboarding processes and provide timely updates to the senior management team on the status of new clients. Escalate any issues as necessary.

  • Liaise with the Deal Assessment and Risk Committee, as well as clients, regarding high-risk cases. Participate in the Deal Assessment Committee to make acceptance or rejection decisions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Schedule regular project calls to ensure timelines are met and to communicate process issues and progress to new clients.

  • Act as the Relationship Manager (RM) for assigned funds, conducting regulatory client service reviews, including operational versus service agreements, attending client board meetings, performing profitability analyses, reviewing client experiences, providing regulatory updates, and assisting with annual product reviews and fund termination processes.

  • Maintain onboarding team standard templates, procedures, and trackers to streamline best practices and eliminate redundant or inefficient processes.

  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks and enhance operational procedures as assigned.

  • Assist in supervising and coaching junior staff to improve performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

  • Actively pursuing HKICPA / ACCA or equivalent qualification.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience, preferably in the financial services industry, with a strong understanding of fund industry structures and regulatory requirements. Experience in fund administration operations is a plus.

  • Familiarity with bank, private banking, and custody account openings.

  • Proven project management skills.

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.

  • Presentable with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse levels and backgrounds.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English.

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other presentation applications, with the ability to produce well-organized and visually appealing work.
