Head of Compliance - Life insurance

My client, a life insurance company, is looking for candidate to lead their compliance function in Hong Kong. This role will ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and best practices, fostering a culture of integrity and compliance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a robust compliance framework aligned with business objectives and regulatory standards.
  • Lead compliance risk assessments and establish proactive measures to mitigate identified risks.
  • Oversee the company's compliance programs, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Anti-Bribery, and Trade Sanctions.
  • Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to ensure effective compliance management and reporting.
  • Maintain relationships with regulatory authorities and coordinate responses to audits and reviews.
  • Promote compliance awareness through training and communication initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in law, finance, risk management, or a related field; a masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIA) is a plus.
  • Extensive experience in compliance within the life insurance or financial services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Hong Kong Life Insurance regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive a culture of compliance across the organization.
