RESPONSIBILITIES - Perform device (Cisco Routers, Switches and F5) upgrade/patching, reboot, and verification upon completion of the activities.
- Support and collaborate with L3 in the recovery of network services.
- Take instruction from Network Lead and carry out the task without technical guidance.
- Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure for enterprise clients, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
- Provide level 2 support to diagnose and resolve network-related issues.
- Create and maintain documentation related to network designs, configurations, and procedures.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of network security measures, including VLAN segmentation and access control.
- Collaborate with project teams to plan and implement network changes, ensuring minimal impact to client services.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve network bottlenecks or performance degradation.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and implement appropriate security measures to protect client networks.
QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relevant studies
- Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Network Engineer, with a focus on layer 2 technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of network switches, VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol, and layer 2 redundancy protocols.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network devices from leading vendors, such as Cisco etc.
- Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, and IP addressing.
- Familiarity with network security principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network switches from leading vendors.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) would be a plus.
- Able to work on shift hours (1300 - 2300 hours).
