Senior Settlement Officer, VP-D

Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise the daily trade booking and settlement operations for Company products (Equities, Derivatives, Fixed Income product, Repo, Reverse Repo and Derivative Structured products)
• Perform trade processing and settlement functions, prepare settlement instruction under Clearing platform (Euroclear, CMU, Fedwire etc.).   
• Monitor the settlement status, collaborate with counter party and business team to resolve potential settlement failure.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant rules, regulatory and associated reporting requirements (eg. Hong Kong Trade Repository) as mandated by the firm and applicable regulatory bodies.
• Ensure accurate and timely monitoring and settlement of all trades transactions
• Liaise with internal and external counterparties for any settlement related issues and enquiries
• Lead projects related to Payments and Settlements, ensure their timely completion, achievement of objectives and
• Review department delivery processes with a view to ensure smooth workflow within the department, reduce turnaround times and achieve efficiency
• From time to time establish or update the procedure manual to cover the new launched product, strengthen the risk control monitoring.
• Help on ad hoc projects as assigned

Requirements:

• 10 years+ hands-on settlement experiences specially for Hong Kong market futures and options and fixed income products
• Experience in Stock Borrowing & Lending (SBL) process, equity derivatives, delta-one products
• Well known global market equity settlement and HK listed futures/options clearing process
• Solid experience in settlement system (i.e. CCASS, DCASS and Euroclear)
• Strong people management skills and experience, strong organizational skills in relation to self and the team
• Excellent verbal and written Communication skills
• Short notice period is preferred
