Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Trade Finance Officer to join our banking client's team, specializing in either import or export operations. This role is essential for processing daily bills transactions and managing trade finance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle the processing of import and export bills, ensuring accuracy and compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.
- Generate and maintain comprehensive reports on trade finance activities, including transaction volumes, discrepancies, and processing timelines to assist in operational efficiency.
- Review and validate trade documents, ensuring they meet necessary compliance standards and regulatory requirements, including adherence to UCP 600 and URC 522 guidelines.
- Monitor and assess risks associated with trade finance operations, recommending improvements to mitigate potential issues.
- Work closely with internal teams, including compliance, credit, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of trade finance transactions.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and contribute to the implementation of best practices in trade finance operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, law, or a related field
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in trade finance and bills operations.
- Strong knowledge of trade practices, including UCP 600 and URC 522.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including both Cantonese and Putonghua).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
