Your role

We're looking for software engineers to:
• provide technology solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services
• analyze business requirements for the securities settlement business
• design, plan and deliver sustainable solutions using modern programming languages
• providing technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing applications
• conduct code reviews and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design and other phases of SDLC
• see that proper operational controls and procedures are implemented to process move from test to production
Your team
You'll be working in the Securities Operation IT Development team, as part of the Group Technology division in Hong Kong. Your primary role will be providing design and implementation, contributing to the post execution cross asset class strategic settlement platform. Following the Scrum agile delivery methodology, your contribution will help us deliver to the vision. As part of your work you will help shaping the software architecture towards the target of a leading edge post trade application suite shared globally.

Your expertise
• minimally 7 solid experience with Java multithreaded and distributed architecture (eg message driven)
• hands on agile practice (TDD, Spec-By-Examples, Continuous Delivery) and process (Scrum, XP, Kanban)
• proficiency on clean coding, TDD tools (eg: Junit), refactoring skills
• strong background on computer science like algorithms, data structure, design patterns
• solid experience on relational databases like Oracle and feel home under Linux environment
• ability to guide team members operating in an agile development methodology
• commitment to the use of engineering practices that support rapid delivery in a fast-paced environment
• passion about test driven software engineering and continuous delivery techniques- able to build relationships and build trust across a global organization, working independently and with the team to work efficiently with stakeholders
