Job Description What is the opportunity? As Fixed Income Specialist, you will be responsible for the entrepreneurship and driving fixed income advisory services for Private Banking in Hong Kong focusing on Business/sales growth and Credit/market risk management.
What will you do? - Own the fixed income business; continuous and independent judgement between business/sales growth and credit/market risk management.
- Generate fixed income revenue and identify opportunities to grow and diversify fixed income sales and AUM in HK.
- Come up with and share business ideas and work on projects in order to drive business growth.
- Manage the credit/market risk in the HK fixed income book and work on projects to manage risk.
- Build up and advise flat fee Fl PAS portfolios.
- Run the advisory business with relationship managers and financial advisors to provide high-quality product advisory and client experience.
- Conduct fixed income duties from front to back including (A) credit research, (B) product due diligence in regulatory context, (C) investment advice and (D) client engagement.
- Carry out research and come up with new investment ideas to present to the team, relationship managers/ financial advisors and clients. Draw out sound market implications and strategies from a myriad of data and information flow.
- Global credit coverage, both Developed and Emerging Markets, both Investment Grade and High Yield bonds.
- Perform product due diligence works in regulatory context, marketing presentations and relevant supporting materials as needed.
What do you need to succeed? Must-have - Degree educated
- 5-10 years' experience with fixed income in an advisory role
- Fixed income and investment market experience, with a focus on Asia credit and European financials
- Credit research and analysis
- Strong knowledge in HKMA and SFC regulatory and suitability requirements for fixed income products
- Credit risk management
- Knowledge of capital markets and operations
- Excellent communication skills to form effective partnerships with various stakeholders and provide high- quality advisory services to clients
- Excellent written and spoken language skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Appropriate local license for advising in fixed income products
Nice-to-have - CFA is preferred
- Strong proposal and presentation skills
