The Business Manager is responsible for supporting the COO office through overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization, driving strategic initiatives, managing budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in annual business planning and ongoing financial management of the COO function.
  • Prepare, manage and monitor budgets to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Collaborate with finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Analyse financial reports and recommend cost effective solutions.
  • Monitor operational performance metrics for reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards in operations and process improvement
  • Identify and mitigate business risks through proactive planning.
  • Track and report on the progress of initiatives and key performance metric and prepare reports for senior leadership.
  • Implement corrective actions to address performance gaps.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement and maintain insurance systems and tools.
  • Ensure and track the delivery status of technology deliverables in Project Octopus.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for COO office, managing priorities, communications and schedule.
  • Assist to prepare briefing materials, reports and presentations for leadership meetings.

Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Insurance, Project Management, or a related field.

  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in business management or similar role.
    • Track Record of managing budgets, teams and business processes.
    • Excellent analytical abilities, with experience in dashboard creation, and reporting.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across teams and influence senior leadership.
    • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving operational goals and project objectives.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities, able to identify performance gaps and develop solutions
    • Ability to foster collaboration and maintain strong working relationships across business units and teams.
