Service Line Overview

KPMG Managed Services brings together the firm's subject matter expertise, proprietary technology and tools and deep operations capability to provide an innovative and cost-effective solution for clients seeking to outsource either a one-off remediation or an ongoing BAU process. We operate across multiple industries, geographies and processes and have particular experience in complaint handling, claims processing and client due diligence.

The Associate is required to provide the knowledge and expertise in order to guide and advise the operation in relation to making decisions about the validity and relevance of information used as part of the Rolling CDD/AML Review Policy. They are responsible for ensuring business processes and policies are adhered to and correctly applied throughout the CDD/AML Rolling Review process, whilst providing guidance and policy clarification to the KYC Analysts and QC/Approvers.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical advice to production team on complex cases using analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis of fails and effectively communicate the outcomes.
• Responsible for contributing to operational impact assessment of policy change and making this operational.
• Communicating changes / updates effectively within the operation via internal alerts and huddles.
• Provide input to the design and implementation of process and policy change.
• Conduct ad-hoc and pre planned coaching / training support to embed technical development.
• Review and constructively challenging the operations internal processes to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain awareness of regulatory risk / landscape and use this awareness to flag issues of importance to the operation.
• Build constructive and collaborative working relationships with teams both on and off-shore.
• Ensure quality is embedded within the operation.
• Quality assurance on cases completed by Approvers.

Experience & Background
• Using analytical and problem solving skills on technically challenging cases
• Understanding of KYC (Know Your Customer) and Financial Crime (FC) Fundamentals with a minimum of two years' experience of working in a HKMA/FCA regulated environment in Hong Kong or similar.
• Ability to provide feedback (written and verbal) in a concise, accurate, constructive and timely manner.
• Minimum of 1 year experience of working in an operational environment
• General knowledge of FC guidance
• Proven experience of working in a role where attention to detail is critical.
• Articulate well complex messages in both written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work successfully in a target driven environment.
• Coaching and Feedback
• Have experience in inferring policies and doing gap analysis.
• Providing effective trainings on new policies and requirements.
