Position Overview The Commercial Business Partner position is a key role in the Commercial team, responsible for supporting the sales teams to drive business growth, whilst at the same time ensuring the growth is sustainable. In addition, the Commercial team is key in providing guidance and leadership to business teams, driving the delivery of exceptional support to clients, contractors and producers, while driving traditional management accounting, management reporting and business improvement initiatives in the business.
Responsibilities Business Partnering • Driving operating and process standards in line with legislative, contractual, and business rules
• End to end Commercial finance and partnering as a Finance Business Partner with business heads for all commercial needs and business analysis
• Collaborate, influence, and negotiate with external as well internal stakeholders to create a win-win situation for the organization
• Deliver a consistently high level of business operations support to both internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced, and highly demanding environment
• Be key point of contact for back office matters, providing commercial acumen, advising on bigger picture, bridging relationships across functions and regions
• Partnering with various teams to ensure accurate contracting, payroll and billing processes are executed efficiently and in alignment with required timelines
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to solve complex issues as required
Business Analysis & Financial Modelling • Annual Strategic Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting process including setting operational & financial targets
• Management reporting and Business/ Financial analysis function
• Translate business strategy into a detailed financial and operational plan. Drive business innovation and selection of the key metrics linking performance to strategy execution.
• Designing and owning monthly financial reporting deck for business heads and corporate heads
• Own and manage the reporting across other areas including goal tracking, productivity, client performance, sales team performance, headcount and any other ad hoc needs
Contract Bids / Requests for Proposals (RFP) • Leading all RFI/RFP end to end and supports sales team with rate negotiation, commercial discussion, to drive optimum outcomes for the business
• Coordinate contract (Master Service Agreements, Scope of Works) reviews (including but not limited to contract negotiation with the legal team to reduce contract risk and protect the business
• Ensure the maintenance and accuracy of the contract database
Stakeholder management • Drive operational efficiencies to both internal and external stakeholders
• Support the personal and professional growth of the sales teams through business coaching and skill development to achieve excellence in performance standards
• Build a culture of ownership, accountability and open communication within the commercial team and across the business
• Simplify how we do things - drive an ownership mentality
Requirements • 5-10 years working experience
• Ideally minimum 5 years' experience in a commercial partnering roles
• Proven track record in formulating and delivering business outcomes
• Experience with dealing with sales teams
• Solution oriented approach, ability to work through issues and find solutions
• Experience providing outstanding customer experience
• Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Other competencies include Adaptable / Embrace ambiguity, Strongly analytical, Sociable with empathy, Team player, Takes initiative
• Fluent in English
• Fluency in Cantonese and/or mandarin preferred but not essential
