International Investment Bank is looking for a Head of Securities Operations
Your new role
- Supervise and lead a team of around 10 individuals in back-office roles (EQ settlement, Corporate Action for Fixed Income and Equities, Cash Management, and Account Services), reporting to the Head of Operations HK.
- Boost productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to all internal and external regulatory requirements.
- Establish and advocate for standard operational procedures and processes.
- Enhance team dynamics and engagement.
- Promote operational excellence.
- Ensure the Operations Department aligns with the firm's strategic goals and business objectives.
- Actively engage in new product development with key business representatives.
- Retain and nurture top talent.
- Oversee and manage the department's expense budget.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
- Lead local, regional, and global projects
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
- At least 15 years of experience in Operations or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role as Head of Securities Operations (preferably on the sell side) or similar.
- Deep understanding of the Equities/Fixed Income product life cycle.
- Extensive knowledge of settlements and corporate actions workflows
- Experience in leading middle office functions is preferred.
- Familiarity with current regulatory and market initiatives affecting the product life cycle.
- Proven leadership and people management capabilities.
- Demonstrated success in building and managing effective operating models with a focus on planning and execution.
