Project Manager, Data Governance (One Year Contract)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the full project lifecycle for data management initiatives, ensuring compliance with project parameters, deadlines, budget, and quality benchmarks.
• Support the creation and refinement of data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
• Support change management initiatives to drive the adoption of data governance practices and tools, including user training and communication plans.
• Coordinate the deployment of data governance tools, including data catalogiContinueng platforms, MDM solutions, and self-service analytics tools.
• Ensure technical solutions align with data governance requirements and user needs.
• Act as the main point of contact for all inquiries and initiatives related to data governance, ensuring clear communication across all levels of the organization.
• Monitor project progress meticulously, ensuring that milestones are achieved and objectives are met within established timelines.
• Provide regular updates to senior management regarding project status, including any challenges faced and strategies for resolution.
• Launch and lead initiatives to promote the significance of data governance throughout the organization, fostering a culture of accountability.
• Establish and enforce robust data quality standards to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across all platforms.
• Work closely with IT, compliance, and business units to define roles and responsibilities related to data governance, facilitating effective teamwork.

Required Skills:

• 7+ years of proven expertise in project management, with a specific focus on data management, operations, and governance.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data lifecycle management, and regulatory requirements
• Proven ability to manage projects effectively, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
• Experience in executing data governance projects is a PLUS
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate data quality and governance practices critically.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Capacity to analyze complex data issues and develop practical solutions that enhance governance processes.
• Ability to inspire and motivate teams while facilitating productive discussions among varied groups.
