Responsibilities:
- Providing legal support to investment and financing projects (private equity, bank financing, fund management, and real estate investment transactions etc.);
- Advise on the structuring and launching of new investment projects and investment products, and manage risk in this regard;
- Assist in providing legal support to existing businesses and projects, including post-investment legal risk (restructuring, enforcement and dispute resolution etc.) and exit matters;
- Reviewing and finalizing legal documents, participation in the procurement and investment committee processes, and coordinating with external counsel in respect of deal execution;
- Preparing legal templates for business teams, and setting up know-how systems.
​Requirements:
- Lawyer qualified in a commonwealth jurisdiction (Hong Kong, UK, Australia, Singapore, etc.) or in US;
- 6+ years post qualification experience;
- Knowledge and experience of: asset management, private equity and fund formation; insolvency, restructuring and/or disputes; securities and securities-related laws and regulations; banking and finance; general corporate and M&A;
- Prior in-house experience with a financial institution is an advantage, but not essential;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills – ability to form effective working relationships;
- Proactive in taking responsibilities and be able to multi-task;
- Fluency in English and Mandarinï¼›Both written and verbal communication skills;
- Capability of working closely with team members and delivering quality work under tight schedules.
