Off-Cycle Trading Intern

As an Intern, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Back-testing and optimizing the currency and interest rate trading strategies of the desk, eventually leading to automated trading signals.
  • Work on ad-hoc projects around web scraping and analysis of data. Central bank data and other data in internal databases.
  • Support the Analyst/SPM in coding and financial engineering tasks. Help automate daily tasks on excel spreadsheets.
  • Liaise with the Tech team to become familiar with the curve building models and incorporate them into sheets.

Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a Master's Program Economics or Finance, computer science.
  • Interested in financial market analysis.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Programming and coding proficiency using Python/Excel would be highly beneficial. Main focus is for data analysis, interacting with Ligo teams and help with spreadsheet.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, Eviews, and statistical packages like Pandas, Scipy, would be an added advantage.
  • Help with various work including data analysis, report generation, bespoken research projects.
