Legal Counsel

We are fast-growing Hong Kong-based hedge fund. We are seeking an experienced Legal Document Negotiator. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our firm's interests are protected through the negotiation of relevant legal documents. You will work closely with various business units and control functions to ensure consistency and compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibility:

  • the negotiation, execution, and management of master agreements, including ISDA (including CSA/VM/IM and related documents), GMRA, and GMSLA .
  • the review and negotiation of notes legal documents, including Term Sheet/Pricing Supplement and SPA;
  • staying up to date with relevant products/funds documentation developments (including IM) to make sure we meet all obligations to our customers and regulators;
  • providing legal support and guidance on derivatives and securities financing transactions.​

 

Requirements：

  • 5 or more years of industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in any related field from a recognized university. Professional certifications (e.g. ACAMS, ICA) are advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISDA, GMRA, and GMSLA frameworks, as well as the regulatory landscape governing derivatives and securities financing transactions.
  • Proven experience in reviewing and negotiating notes legal documents.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to efficiently manage complex agreements.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Language proficiency: Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (both written and spoken) is essential.
