Job Description The Head of Business Management/BRM Global Markets & Treasury Asia will play a pivotal role in managing and executing the strategic initiatives of Global Markets and Treasury in Asia. This role is crucial for ensuring that our operations align with both global and local requirements, driving digital transformation, and maintaining robust control systems.
Key Responsibilities: Budgeting and Best Execution:
- Oversee the budgeting process for Global Markets and Treasury in Asia.
- Ensure best execution practices and manage the BRM and DAC framework.
Digitalisation Strategy:
- Lead the digitalisation strategy for Global Markets in Asia.
- Implement strategic initiatives in coordination with regional desk heads in FX, FI, and EQ, and the IT/Business Solutions team.
DAC Setup and Infrastructure:
- Manage the setup and infrastructure for Direct Access Clients (DAC) across the region.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Engage with stakeholders in Operations and Risk Management to proactively address and resolve issues.
- Ensure all procedures are documented and compliant with regulations.
Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with global stakeholders on projects such as Masterfinance, FinIQ, and BTCA.
- Develop and implement control systems and reporting standards within Global Markets and Treasury.
Risk Management:
- Ensure timely and aligned ex-post controls.
- Manage the production and dissemination of Risk Scorecards and contribute to their enhancement.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Involve in drafting and updating internal directives, procedures, and operational manuals.
- Act as a key counterparty to the 2nd and 3rd lines of defense, including external auditors, regarding regulatory and risk management changes.
Skills and experience - Educational Background:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional Experience:
- Extensive experience in business management within financial markets, preferably in Global Markets and Treasury.
- Proven track record in managing budgeting processes, digitalisation strategies, and control systems.
- Experience in coordinating with global and regional stakeholders.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of financial products and markets (FX, FI, EQ).
- Proficiency in managing digital transformation projects.
- Leadership and Communication:
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Regulatory Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk management practices.
- Experience in liaising with regulatory bodies and auditors.
