Work alongside two portfolio managers based between Hong Kong and other geographic locations. Be responsible for increasing amounts of portfolio capital, from US$1m to US$20m Assist with liability driven and high certainty of outcome portfolios to client needs Assist with new research and trade execution of fixed income, equity, property, hedge fund, FX and derivatives portfolios Create regular portfolio review reports of client portfolios and risk metrics Complete all client KYC and on-boarding documentation Complete Statements of Advice and other client Strategy Documents
Key responsibilities of the intern or grad:
1.Sales and Client Relationship Management
*You will assist the Junior Partner and Managing Director to sell to and service our clients
*You will have the opportunity to organize client presentations and attend the pitches
*Through this experience you will be able to gain sales pitching and client servicing skills.
2.Client Servicing
–For our existing UHNW clients, execute account documentation (information gathering, liaising withvarious parties, check and follow up for documentation completion)–Client balance and cash flow reporting–Client Advisory Documents (use of power-point, excel, Macros, Accounting)–Attending Client meetings across the region in person or via secure teleconference
*Through this experience you will be able to gain technical knowledge, customer relationship management and work with highly confidential information. 3.Portfolio Responsibilities:–Update research and technical ideas–Manage charting packs and research feeds–Work on trade ideas with the portfolio managers
4.Operational Responsibilities:–Trade booking –Resolving settlement and funding issues–Cash movements and security checks
Administration responsibilities: –Travel/hotel bookings–Expense claims–Facilitate mailing of client documentation, arranging couriers, or hand-delivering documents
Skill requirements: Maintain markets and legal knowledge and display an ability to identify the impact of change A good understanding of financial markets across asset classes Some awareness of tax rules for non-domiciled clients Some understanding of private bank products Tier one University degree in finance, accounting or economics with strong excel skills, and financial markets skills – essential Proactive approach to work and problem solving – essential Fluent English and Sinhalese
