Our client is a multi-funder platform providing digital solutions and services to Multinational Corporations around the globe. They are now looking for a Risk Underwriting experts to lead the risk management process implementation and streamlining.
Key Responsibilities
- Support to establish overall firmwide credit risk management framework and on-going monitor its implementation to ensure risk performance excellence.
- Underwrite risk of Asian suppliers and international buyers and continually improve underwriting quality and efficiency by leveraging tech tools, alternative data, and innovative methodology.
- Establish a comprehensive risk management process and implement the process in a digital way for admission, rating, credit limit assigning, monitoring through cooperating with product and tech team.
- Lead the innovation to include alternative data attributes to credit model and establish the credit risk decision engine through cooperation with data & tech team and deep research upon other fintech and FIs.
- Continually explore and identify external data sources in various regions to enrich our rating models focusing India, Bangladesh, and Vietnam etc.
- Actively engage with external stakeholders including funding partners, insurers to gain buy-in upon our risk framework for a smooth asset distribution.
- Deliver quality risk reporting upon portfolio level and country level, and complete ad hoc project in specific area or country.
- Coordinate the risk project implementation by orchestrating and mobilizing the internal resources.
- Work with BD and Product team to streamline the overall process to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree above in statistic, math, computer science or economics etc.
- 10+ years credit underwriting or risk strategy experience in financial institution or fintech.
- Experiences of cross-border receivable finance, factoring, credit insurance, supply chain solutions, SME coverage, or relevant domain expertise is preferred.
- Self-driven, resilient, able to handle pressure. problems in a very structured way.
- Fast learner, team spirit, adapt to multi-culture environment.
- Capability of communication in business English and Chinese.
