Job Summary You will be working with the Investment Solutions and Products Team members, Risk, Compliance and Credit, assist in the implementation of a product review committee to regulate the expansion of the suite of structured products offered, and develop related credit strategies.
Job Description What is the opportunity? As the Structured Products Specialist, you will be working with the Investment Solutions and Products Team to provide support on structured product offerings. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to expand the product coverage.
What will you do? - Supporting Private Bankers in Asia for Structured Products through Product Development, Marketing and Trade Execution.
- Providing assistance to Front Office colleagues in client meetings and proposals related to structured products.
- Collaborating with peers in Asia to provide investment market commentary, sales ideas and investment strategy.
- Developing relationships with other Structured Product professionals within Wealth Management (WM) and RBC Capital Market (CM) as well as external counterparties to leverage ideas and best practices.
- Seeking opportunities to build a collaborative and mutually beneficial partnership with RBC CM in building out our Asian structured product capabilities.
- Working with peers globally to implement best practices with respect to educational support and control processes from elsewhere within WM.
- In conjunction with Compliance and Risk, develop strategies for the quality of Structured Products distribution practices.
What do you need to succeed? Must-have - University degree in Business Management/Finance and other related professional qualification
- In-depth knowledge of key exchange listings in Hong Kong and the United States
- Strong analytic capabilities to be able to digest volumes of research and information and extract interesting and thematic trends
- Demonstrate thought leadership, shaping RBC's view for both RMs and clients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter who can work on project independently
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Bloomberg skills are a must
- Fluent in English
Nice-to-have - Relevant working experience
- Strong Python/VBA Skills
- Capable in Cantonese or Mandarin would be an asset
