Your new role
- Oversee the daily compliance activities of the licenced compliance system in Hong Kong, encompassing regulatory submissions, system enhancements, collaboration with external compliance advisors, and communication with regulatory bodies.
- Manage the day-to-day compliance tasks of licenced entities acting as fund managers, including operational compliance for Hong Kong Type 4 and 9 licences, as well as SEC RIA licences.
- Address evaluations by regulatory authorities such as the SFC and SEC to ensure adherence to regulatory standards
- Participate in the establishment of primary and secondary market funds (such as Case Fund, PE/VC funds) and structure design, assist in drafting issuance documents, LP/GP agreements, etc.
- Supports cross-border investment projects (focusing on the US market), provides transaction document review, due diligence coordination, and risk control solutions.
- Collaborate with external law firms and compliance consultants to optimise fund operation processes and compliance frameworks.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws from a well-known domestic or international institution + LLM/JD degree from Hong Kong (preferably a local Hong Kong undergraduate degree);
- Welcome candidates with around 3-6 years of experience in financial compliance/fund business in HK, with at least 1 year of deep involvement in compliance management of licenced companies.
- Experience in Fund Formation or PE/VC investment business is preferred.
- Experience in compliance and legal support experience in ETC and US market investment projects is preferred.
- Familiar with SFC regulatory rules.
- A holder of a lawyer's certificate is preferred.
- Fluent in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.
