Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research on emerging trends, cutting-edge technologies, and key industry developments within the global TMT landscape focusing on embodied AI, robotics, automation, and key advancements in both the upstream (hardware, including but not limited to semis, actuators, and structural parts) and downstream (software, algorithm providers, OEM/ODM, system integrators, services) sectors of the robotics value chain;
  • Evaluate company valuations through comprehensive analysis of financial statements, market trends, competitive positioning, and growth drivers, robotics companies operating globally and in emerging markets;
  • Lead and coordinate due diligence processes, including evaluating operational, legal, and financial aspects of potential investments;
  • Build detailed financial models to forecast revenue, cash flows, and investment returns for target companies across the robotics sector, factoring in the complex interactions between hardware, software, and service-based business models;
  • Formulate high-quality research reports, investment memos, and presentations to support strategic investment decisions;
  • Monitor the performance of portfolio companies, tracking key operational and financial metrics;
  • Collaborate with investment and research teams across regions to analyze opportunities in public and private markets globally, especially within AI, robotics, automation, and related technologies.

Job Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Masters degree or above, with a strong preference for candidates with a combined background in engineering (e.g., electrical, automation, mechanical), computer science, and finance/economics. A deep understanding of the technical side of robotics hardware and software investments is essential;
  • ​Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in asset management, private equity, venture capital, or corporate development, with a track record in TMT sectors, particularly in AI-related software, robotics systems, automation solutions, and components of robotics, and experience with dollar funds or having connections in overseas institutional investors and the venture capital community are strong advantages;
  • Analytical Skills: Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment analysis and ability to independently conduct research on companies within the robotics value chain, including both hardware and software components;
  • Investment Focus: Extensive experience in public and private equity investments in global TMT industries, with a sharp acumen in advanced technologies, robotics innovation, and the integration of hardware and software solutions;
  • Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken English and fluency in Mandarin;
  • Work Style: Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and results-driven environment;
  • Availability: Immediate availability is preferred.
