We are currently partnering with a strong buy side economics team in HK who are looking to add an experienced economist to their team. The economics team is heavily integrated with the investment team, working very closely with the portfolio managers and having a direct influence on investment decisions so this is a great opportunity for someone who wants to see the direct impact of their research.
The role:
- Conduct macroeconomic research on countries within Asia, specifically the ASEAN region
- Collaborate closely with other economists in the team focused on different regions
- Liaise with the macro portfolio managers to aid in investment decision making
The requirements:
- 5-10 years experience covering Asia from a macroeconomic perspective
- Experience looking specifically at major economies within the ASEAN region
- Proven experience as a macro economist at an investment bank, buy side organisation or central bank.
- Strong written and communications skills
- Excellent academics: MSc or PhD in macroeconomics or related field
