Job duties:
  • Lead and oversee the Middle Office team, promoting a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Design and implement strategies to improve team performance and deliver high-quality services.
  • Manage middle office operations across multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and structured products.
  • Ensure efficient transaction processing, robust risk management, and accurate reporting for all asset classes.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with front office, risk management, and back office teams to streamline workflows and elevate service delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies governing middle office operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for audits and regulatory inquiries.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including traders, portfolio managers, and senior leaders.
  • Act as a bridge between the middle office and other departments, ensuring alignment on strategic initiatives.
  • Mentor and guide team members, supporting their career growth and skill development.
  • Conduct performance reviews and implement training programs to strengthen team capabilities.
Job requirements:
  • Bachelor degree holder
  • Over 12 years of relevant experience in a middle office or comparable position within the financial services sector or an investment bank.
  • In-depth knowledge of operations across multiple asset classes and investment instruments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading and managing teams, with a track record of motivating and empowering staff.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, paired with a meticulous approach to detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capability to interact effectively with stakeholders across all levels.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English as well as Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
