Overview
A well-established Regional Bank is hiring a Assistant Manager, Special Assets & Debt Recovery to manage the problematic corporate loan portfolios for the bank.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor problem corporate loans portfolio and formulate action plan to maximize financial recovery.
- Ensure appropriate and updated risk rating is provided for non-performing loans
- Formulating and performing daily execution of collection strategies.
- Handle debt recovery for the designated accounts through cash/ assets recovery, debt restructuring and security enforcement.
- Monitor and manage overdue accounts, identify problematic accounts, and assess potential delinquencies;
- Communicate with customers and manage foreclose actions.
- Oversee, execute and track progress for all collection activities;
- Liaise with solicitors, agents and related external parties regarding recovery actions and litigation process;
- Collaborate with external entities such as legal firms, real estate agency, and auction houses, and monitor their performance and evaluate associated costs;
- Review and update policies and procedures related to risk management and credit monitoring;
- Advise on collection/litigation/bankruptcy cases. Monitor legal proceedings in both Hong Kong and the Greater China;
- Ensure strict compliance with all internal policies and procedures, and all regulatory requirements;
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree or above in Risk Management, Business, Law or related disciplines;
- Holder of ECF on Credit Risk Management (CCRP(CPM)) qualification;
- At least 3-5 years of special asset management experience in financial industry;
- Strong understanding on legal and regulatory requirements in banking practices on credit risk management;
- Strong analytical, presentation, report-writing skills and attentive to details
- Good command of Chinese and English with knowledge of Putonghua
