Reporting to Management Information & Financial Planning team, this role is primarily responsible for benchmark analysis and management reporting in Asia Corporate and Investment Banking Division, covering individual Business performance analysis on Revenues and Costs, and assisting on the planning and implementation of Transfer Pricing for Asia branches.
Key Responsibilities - Provide dedicated support to Management Information & FPA, focusing on Business performance analysis against benchmarks regionally and globally, on Revenues and Costs. Assist in the production and review of performance benchmarks of individual business and support units, profitability ratios, under the Asia Corporate and Investment Banking Division.
- Assist on the annual business planning and budgeting exercise considering performance benchmarks and targets for individual business and support units for the Asia division, optimizing overall growth for the Asia franchise.
- Work closely with various regional and global stakeholders in the Front Office and Support functions, to review profitability ratios and address queries and concerns to optimize performance against benchmarks.
- Work on transfer pricing matters for Asia and be responsible for transfer pricing arrangements (including SLAs, cost recharges and allocations) with related parties, assist to analyze the impact of transfer pricing on the statutory profits of the Asia branches and handling external or internal queries on transfer pricing.
- Be able to extend support and to grow within the wider Management Information & FPA function in Asia, through proactive on-the-job learning, understanding of the various functions within the team and working in collaboration with the wider CFO office in Asia.
Basic Requirements - Minimum 5-6 years of relevant experience with in-depth knowledge of Management Information and FPA functions within Corporate and Investment Banking Division (including knowledge of Global Markets, Global Transaction Banking, Global Debt Financing and Corporate Finance products).
- Sound knowledge of Performance and Benchmark Analysis and Transfer Pricing principles is preferred.
- Solid experience in running analysis using management information tools at an entity level. Experience in calculating Transfer Pricing charges is an advantage.
- Team player with a can-do mindset, with track record of timely management on Finance deliverables and ad-hoc review and analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and analytical skills and being detail-oriented in adopting workflow and process. Proactive in problem-solving and proposing recommendations.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability of influencing outcomes with proven track records.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft tools (Excel, Powerpoint, Macros and VBA) and Reporting and Analytics tools (PowerBI, Qlikview, etc.).
- High level of written and spoken English. Cantonese/ Mandarin/ Spanish will be an advantage.
