Key responsibilities: - Engage government agencies, regulatory bodies, associations, think tanks, experts and others to support policies pertinent to Prudential's business and priorities (e.g. health, sustainability, digital, wealth, etc.)
- Manage and ensure up to date stakeholder mapping.
- Represent Prudential at industry associations and government forums. Advocate for Prudential's interests in policy discussions and consultations.
- Monitor and analyse policy and regulations that impact the financial services industry.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to shape the company's overall position and tactical direction on a full range of policy topics and geopolitical issues.
- Manage the creation of written and visual materials advocating for these positions (e.g., responses to public consultations).
- Provide support and expert advice to business and corporate functions, including the execution of logistical arrangements
Core competencies required: - 5-8 years of relevant experience in financial services, government, consulting or other relevant fields.
- Ability to formulate policy positions, strategies, and recommended actions even in the face of ambiguity.
- Fluency in English (Mandatory) and Mandarin or Cantonese (advantage): excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience, capable of creating and delivering clear, factual, and relevant position papers and talking points.
- Undergraduate degree in public policy, political science, economics, or a relevant field and an advanced degree is desirable.
- A motivated self-starter, with creative and strategic thinking as well as excellent judgement, integrity, professionalism and positivity.
