Service Line Overview

Our Transformation Consulting team is dedicated to helping clients maximize the potential of their transformation initiatives, ranging from enterprise-wide transformations to digital and functional transformations. We don't limit ourselves to either strategy or implementation - we deliver both. From advisory services to implementation, in areas such as Strategy and Performance, Transformation Delivery, Data and Analytics, Financial Advisory, and ESG Advisory, we offer end-to-end solutions tailored to each client's unique requirements.

We are looking for a Manager / Associate Director who will spearhead the People and HR aspects of our transformation projects. While HR transformation would be a key focus for this role, support to transformation of other functions (e.g. Finance) would also be expected. Please see below some typical types of transformation projects:
  • Functional Transformation (e.g. Finance, HR)
  • Target Operating Model Design
  • Organisation Design
  • Process review re-engineering
  • System implementation
  • Shared Service Centre Model Review
Key Responsibilities
  • Use your knowledge, expertise and experience to support the development of People and HR propositions, especially in areas of organisation development, Operating Model Design and HR Transformation
  • Drive business growth by expanding our HR transformation offerings, identifying new opportunities, and contributing to business development initiatives
  • Lead the development and implementation of HR transformation strategies for clients, ensuring alignment with their business goals
  • Manage a team of KPMG professionals on client engagements and providing leadership in shaping a delivery approach
  • Ensure the successful delivery of projects by overseeing project plans, managing resources effectively, and monitoring project milestones
  • Develop appropriate client relationships to enhance the reputation of KPMG as advisor of choice and identify further client opportunities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in HR transformation, leveraging your expertise to guide clients through complex HR-related challenges
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance our HR transformation services
  • Share knowledge and support the development of other team member on HR best practices.
  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills, foster professional growth, and promote a collaborative team environment
  • Coaching team members to ensure excellent client delivery whilst also enabling their career development
  • Be passionate about areas of expertise, managing your own development by learning continuously from experience and seeking out development opportunities.
Experience & Background
  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the HR function or consulting, with a focus on HR transformation and/or change management projects. Experience in a Big 4 professional firm or in a large corporation is preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrate understanding of Organisation Design, HR processes, technology and operating model. Experience in shared service model design / review is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of an organization
  • Experience manage and coach a team of consultants, guiding them to deliver high-quality results and achieve client objectives
  • A good track record of delivering high quality project, or assignment outputs with a focus on delivering measurable business improvements preferably from working for a major advisory business, consultancy or corporate
  • Plan, design and shape project work streams, manage progress, resolve issues and limit risks
  • Solid problem-solving skills, ability to analyse complex data, identify core issues, investigate, evaluate and reach appropriate conclusions/solutions/recommendations
  • High levels of personal integrity and being a team player with commercial awareness
  • Full professional proficiency in English. Candidates who can also speak Mandarin and Cantonese are preferred, but not required
  • Self-driven, enthusiastic with a 'can-do' attitude, quick to learn, and strong willingness to step outside of comfort zone
  • Strong sense of ownership to get the job done in a practical and pragmatic fashion
