Our client is seeking an Investment Analyst to act as a mentor and contribute to the commercial success of long/short investment teams through targeted development programs. This role emphasizes the cultivation of investment professionals' skills. Key initiatives include analyzing stock pitches, consolidating and sharing best practices, and providing valuable insights and data to partners across the organization.

Job Description 

  • Develop and update a curriculum of best practices to foster continuous learning and improvement within the investment platform.
  • Undertake project-based initiatives in support of the Head of Investment Professional Development and senior management.
  • Coordinate and support internal processes, including analyst review sessions, coaching sessions, learning workshops, and more.
  • Build analytical tools to measure and enhance the performance of long/short teams and optimize the investment process.
  • Analyze internal performance data to generate actionable recommendations for our investment professionals.
  • Collaborate closely with Compliance to ensure adherence to relevant policies and procedures in all activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in the international financial services sector, with a solid understanding of long/short investing strategies preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese or Japanese is preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Strong financial acumen, with skills in financial statement analysis and familiarity with various business models and industries.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Bloomberg.
  • GPA of 3.5/4.0 or higher.
