The investment analytics specialist will be responsible for advising clients on how to create strong investment frameworks including portfolio structuring, investment risk & suitability, credit, investment duration, and cash flow features.
Responsibilities: - Conduct research, data collection and analysis on investment portfolios in client banks to understand the requirements on their investment and advisory servicing.
- Present findings and recommendations using business proposals and presentations
- Organize and conduct reviews on processes, policies, guidelines and other documentation related to portfolio- & product advisory to identify opportunities for the client to create market-leading practices
- Document the project into systems and processes for management review
- Close interaction with clients through interviews, workshops, project updates and in-person networking to understand requirements in-depth and deliver solid solutions
- Support thought leadership on Advisory topics by researching market best practices and staying informed of industry trends
More experienced candidates will have these additional responsibilities: - Support design and activation of new Advisory-related products and services from Synpulse
- Drive the sharing of Advisory knowledge / expertise throughout Synpulse
- Lead smaller project teams
About you: - Bachelor Degree holder
- 3-6 years of experience in banking or consulting industry
- Understand investment products/advisory across the Private and Wealth Banking sector
- Familiar with Risk analytic and portfolio management
- Prefer to have strong technology affinity and system implementation experience
- Experience in financial product management or -structuring, portfolio construction, trading, or portfolio reporting will be an advantage.
- Highly analytical and structured in problem solving; able to quickly understand complex situations
- CFA / CAIA / FRM designation or passed tests will be an advantage
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and team leadership skills
- Excellent spoken and written English; fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin will be an advantage
