Job Description:

  • Act as the main contact for both internal and external parties regarding derivatives operations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and company policies related to derivatives.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to enhance systems and automate processes.
  • Handle the settlement of derivatives transactions, including daily trade and position reconciliation.
  • Address and resolve operational issues and inquiries efficiently and professionally.
  • Work closely with traders, brokers, and counterparties to guarantee accurate and timely trade execution and confirmation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency in derivatives operations.
  • Support risk management by identifying operational risks and applying best practices.
  • Maintain and prepare detailed records and reports on derivatives trading and operations.
  • Generate and review reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Resolve discrepancies and issues related to trade settlements and position management promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in settlement within the securities brokerage or banking industry.
  • Proficient in Clearstream and Euroclear systems.
  • Knowledgeable in securities, fixed income, listed and OTC derivatives, and structured products settlement.
  • Ability to perform various ad-hoc projects and assignments as required.
  • Skilled in using MS Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin).
  • Willingness to work on public holidays if necessary.
