My client is a Chinese Investment Management firm focused on technology and innovation-driven investments. The company specializes in technology, software, life sciences, and consumer sectors, covering both primary and secondary market investments.
The company has a strong cross market investment capability, strong investment research capacity, and a research driven investment philosophy.
The company focuses on hedge fund strategies, primarily engaging in equity trading, especially in the U.S. stock market.
They are currently urgently looking for a Trader to cope with their expansion in Hong Kong, the ideal candidate should have experience trading in the US market and worked as a trader in a US dollar hedge fund or a top tier investment bank. The role will directly report to the partner of the company.
Main Responsibilities:
Trade Execution
Execute trades for equity-related financial products, including stocks, options, and futures in the US and other stock markets.
Adjust trading positions based on market dynamics and trading strategies to achieve trading objectives.
Risk Management
Utilize risk models to assess and monitor the risk profile of the trading portfolio.
Develop and implement risk control strategies to manage market, credit, and liquidity risks.
Conduct regular risk analyses and provide recommendations for optimization.
Market Analysis
Conduct in-depth research on equity market trends, focusing on macroeconomic data, policy changes, and market movements in the US and other relevant markets.
Collaborate with the research team to develop and refine trading strategies.
Derivatives and Options Trading Experience Responsible for options pricing, hedging, and strategy development.
Research option volatility to identify trading opportunities and develop hedging strategies.
Compliance & Reporting
Strictly adhere to regulations set by Hong Kong financial regulatory authorities and internal compliance requirements.
Regularly report to management on trading performance, risk status, and market developments.
Requirement:
5 – 10 years of experience as a trader in a US dollar hedge fund or investment bank.
Preferably with experience in derivatives and options trading.
Must be based in Hong Kong and hold a Hong Kong securities license.
Ideally has experience in risk management, not just order execution. The candidate should have their own ideas on comprehensive risk management and be proficient in using risk models to manage risks.
