Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end development of back office systems, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure solutions.
- Provide hands-on expertise in Java, architecture design, and system optimization.
- Drive technical discussions and ensure innovative practices are followed throughout the SDLC.
- Manage and mentor a diverse group of developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Implement agile methodologies to streamline project delivery and enhance team productivity.
- Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications and deliverables.
- Ensure regular communication of project progress, risks, and milestones to executive leadership.
- Champion initiatives that improve system robustness, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to inform long-term system architecture and strategic planning.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Established expertise in Java development with comprehensive knowledge of the full software development lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying enterprise-level applications, particularly within the financial services domain.
- A minimum of 10 years in software development, with significant exposure to financial technology or investment banking environments.
- Proven history of delivering complex systems that meet high availability and performance benchmarks.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire technical teams.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with business stakeholders and executive management.
- Adept at balancing technical requirements with strategic business outcomes.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
