Responsibilities: - Payments Strategy and Innovation :
- Develop and execute the overarching payments strategy for DBS Consumer Banking Group.
- Identify new payment trends, technologies and customer needs, and spearhead the development of innovative payment solutions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive the implementation of new payment capabilities and enhance the existing offerings.
- Ensure the payments solutions are aligned with the bank's digital transformation initiatives and customer-centric approach.
- Business Growth and Profitability :
• Achieve aggressive growth targets for the payments business, including revenue, transaction volume and deposit portfolio.
• Develop and implement effective marketing and sales strategies to drive customer acquisition and usage of payment services.
• Optimize the pricing and product mix to enhance the profitability of the payments business.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer feedback to maintain a competitive edge.
- Customer Experience and Operational Excellence :
• Oversee the end-to-end customer journey for all payment solutions, ensuring seamless and frictionless experiences.
• Collaborate with other business units to identify and address customer pain points, and implement process improvements.
• Ensure the payments operations are efficient, scalable and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Leverage data and analytics to drive continuous improvements and enhance the overall customer experience.
- People and Team Management:
• Build and lead a high-performing team of payments professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and customer-centricity.
• Provide strategic direction, mentorship and performance management to the team.
• Identify and develop talent, and implement succession planning to ensure the team's long-term sustainability.
• Promote a positive and engaging work environment that aligns with DBS' core values and culture.
Requirements - Minimum 10 years of experience in the banking or payments industry, with a proven track record of leading and growing a payments business.
- Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, including emerging trends, technologies and regulatory landscape.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute innovative payment solutions that address customer needs and drive business growth.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights to make informed decisions.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different functions and levels.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification in payments or fintech is preferred.
