Options Trader – Systematic - Hong Kong

My client is a leading global prop trading firm currently expanding various teams across locations, including the addition of an experienced Options Trader in their Hong Kong team. Reporting to the Head of Trading and working in proximity with the Quant and Tech teams, you will be responsible for systematic and positional Options trading strategies, as well as the following:

Salary: HK$1200k - HK$1500k

Responsibilities

  • Implement algorithmic strategies and associated tools specific to Options trading, systematic market making, etc.
  • Work with the Quant team to develop trading signals, backtesting, deploying and ultimately managing profitable strategies, and manage the risk.
  • Monitor the market to identify trading opportunities and develop trading metrics based on proprietary research and data analysis
  • Collaborate with other traders and quantitative researchers to optimise existing strategies and explore new alphas for the desk
  • Work closely with the Tech teams to improve system resilience, trading infrastructure and operational effectiveness

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of working with systematic proprietary Options trading, with a proven track record of profitability and consistent trading performance
  • Deep understanding of Equity Option markets and strong knowledge of related pricing models and volatility analysis
  • Experience of automated pricing using a wide range of approaches with excellent C++ and/or Python skills
  • Strong risk management skills and an ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed trading decisions
  • Strong communication skills with excellent English, spoken and written
