Data Analyst - Leading Insurance Group

Our client, a leading life insurance group, is seeking a Data Analyst to join their customer strategy team. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing data analytics and identifying growth opportunities to support key business initiatives. This includes improving retention, increasing acquisition, enhancing cross-selling and up-selling efficiency, boosting business performance, and providing a better customer experience through enhanced digital engagement.

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform data analysis on customer 360, segmentation, sequence analysis, hypothesis testing, and more.
  • Develop machine learning models using supervised and unsupervised learning techniques and perform model analytics.
  • Design and implement interactive dashboards using Power BI.
  • Prepare and deliver management reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Use data mining, analysis, and visualization techniques to generate insightful reports for business users.
  • Drive the adoption of data analytics within agency business units, offering insights and guidance on strategic data-driven practices.
  • Leverage data analytics capabilities to shape the future business and technology vision, including AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics.
  • Document and present analytical solutions to ensure clear understanding and proper documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or any related discipline
  • At least 4 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data science.
  • Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to other analytics tools.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing interactive dashboards, preferably using Power B
  • Excellent skills in data mining, analysis, and visualization to generate business insights
  • Experience in building machine learning models is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in both written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese) and English
  • Fast learner with strong analytical skills and a passion for data
  • Prior experience in the insurance business is a big plus
