Our client is a leading International Investment Bank with a fast-paced and collaborative culture.
This powerhouse is seeking for a Middle Office Trade Operations Team Leader to manage a small team.
The Role:
- Review guarantee terms and conditions, suggesting modifications, and coordinating with stakeholders to finalize the output template, ensuring it meets client needs and complies with the Bank's guidelines.
- Perform the responsibilities of 'A' level signatory on documents related to guarantees.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve and streamline the processing workflow for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor workload and processing flows to ensure procedures are correctly followed, enabling the achievement of Quality Targets.
- Assess irregular and problematic transactions while guiding staff on appropriate follow-up actions.
- Oversee the implementation of operational permanent control policies and procedures in daily operations
- Ensure that team members adhere to regulatory requirements, vigilance policies, and internal guidelines.
- Report all incidents in accordance with the Incident Management System.
- Ensure Operational Procedures are documented, distributed, and kept up to date.
- Reduce operational failures, including but not limited to fraud risks, by developing and implementing sufficient regular controls.
- Perform duties related to Anti-Money Laundering/Financial Sanctions (AML/FS) as an integral part of the control framework.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- 5 – 7 years of experience in a team within Middle Office Trade Operations
- Nice to have: Bank Guarantee knowledge, including the different types of guarantees and processing flows
- Fluent English speak but must also be fluent in Cantonese
