Risk Management Group (RMG) is responsible for the development and maintenance of risk management and internal control frameworks. We provide independent review and challenge to business to ensure that appropriate balance is considered in risk/return decisions. In addition, RMG is responsible for the monitoring and reporting on key risk issues of the Bank. To manage risk effectively and deliver strong financial performance, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
• Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of the Bank's resolution plans in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Conduct detailed assessments of the impediments to the bank's resolvability capabilities and develop strategic solutions to mitigate risks
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the resolution strategies are comprehensive and practical
• Serve as the primary liaison with the Head Office to ensure alignment of resolution planning objectives and strategies across the organization
• Stay abreast of changing regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Representing the bank in dialogues with regulators regarding resolution planning initiatives
• Manage resolution planning Working Group meetings and Oversight Committee. Oversee all project management activities in relation to resolution planning, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope
• Provide update on the progress of resolution planning to local risk committees
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree holder in Finance, Legal, Risk, or a related field; Master or advanced degree preferred
• Over 10 years of experience within banking or financial services sector
• Prior experience in resolution planning with strong understanding of regulatory requirements (eg OCIR-1, FMI-1, LFIR-1, ST-1)
• Proven track record of managing complex projects involving cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and regulators
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills with a strategic mindset
