About the Role

Support Strategy team head to drive strategy development and long-term strategic initiatives for AIAHK.

Support the Strategy team on strategy development in AIAHK, including monitoring market trends, performing analysis and developing insights, defining new strategic priorities, shaping and synthesizing enterprise-wide strategic plans, and building stakeholder alignment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Deliver insights and thought leadership on market developments and implications for AIAHK
  • Monitor competitor developments and analyse drivers of relative performance
  • Conduct horizon scanning on market environment and identify key trends impacting AIAHK
  • Develop market share analysis and provide insights on growth
  • Support the team to develop thought leadership and strategic analyses of emerging opportunities and threats
Identify new strategic opportunities and strategies
  • Work collaboratively with the Strategy team to identify and shape potential new growth engines and strategic opportunities beyond AIAHK's existing core business
  • Analyse and evaluate strategic opportunities / partnerships. Work with Strategy team and relevant stakeholders to co-create go-to-market business strategies
  • Assist the development of strategic and financial case for new strategic initiatives
Support the development of the annual strategic plans for AIAHK
  • Coordinate the annual strategic planning process
  • Analyse internal and market data and synthesize analysis into strategic priorities
  • Work closely with relevant business functions to ensure timeliness of deliverables
Enhance the Strategy team's role as a COE in AIAHK
  • Support the synthesis of best practices for strategy development within AIAHK
  • In capacity of advisor, provide guidance to other business functions within AIAHK in order to strengthen their ability to identify strategic opportunities and to clearly articulate their strategic initiatives and targeted outcomes
Job Requirements:
  • Degree holder with 5+ years of relevant strategy planning / corporate development / project management experience. Experience in consultancy / insurance industry and/or HKICPA / CFA holder will be an advantage
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, being able to connect-the-dots
  • Result oriented, with proven track record in attaining business results
  • Be adaptable, able to interact and build strong relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds
  • Attentive to details with good analytical, coordination and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese)
  • Excellent PowerPoint, Excel and report writing skills
  • A good story-teller, with strong presentation skills
