About the Role:
We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially savvy Data Analyst
In this role, you will leverage data to uncover actionable insights that drive decision-making in commercial retail operations. You will work closely with AI/ML teams, business stakeholders, and commercial leaders to transform raw data into strategic recommendations, ensuring our AI initiatives deliver measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze large-scale retail/commercial datasets (e.g., sales, customer behavior, pricing, promotions) to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
* Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.
* Collaborate with AI/ML teams to refine models by providing business context and commercially relevant input features.
* Extract and interpret data to answer key business questions (e.g., pricing optimization, demand forecasting, customer segmentation).
* Monitor KPIs and performance metrics, highlighting risks and opportunities for commercial growth.
* Translate complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations for retail strategy and operations.
* Work cross-functionally with marketing, merchandising, and supply chain teams to align data insights with business goals.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's/Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst . From retail, e-commerce, FMCG, or commercial analytics industries would be preferred.
* Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python/R for data analysis (Pandas, NumPy, etc.).
* Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and statistical analysis.
* Commercial acumen: Ability to link data insights to business outcomes (e.g., revenue, margins, customer engagement).
* Familiarity with AI/ML concepts (e.g., predictive modeling, clustering) is a plus.
* Excellent storytelling skills to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with retail-specific datasets (loyalty programs, POS data, omnichannel analytics).
* Knowledge of cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure) and big data tools (Spark, Hadoop).
* Understanding of marketing analytics (ROI, campaign performance) or supply chain analytics.
